Comments: Cassia is excited for her Match Banquet where she will find out who the person she is most suited to be with is. She can’t believe it when she is matched with Xander, her best friend; most people are matched with people from other areas that they haven’t never met before. When she returns home to view her match microcard where she can find out more about Xander – even though she already knows him – another boy’s face appears – and even more shockingly, it’s also someone she knows. She is told that the card was made in error and that she should forget about it, but Ky is part of her hiking group and as they spend more time together, Cassia is intrigued by him. The more Cassia figures out about their society and love, the more she is put in a bad situation and realizes she might have to make a choice that hasn’t been made before.

This futuristic book is getting a huge push from the publisher, and it is certainly a fun book. Cassia is very likeable and the world is very well drawn. Some of the writing seems over simplistic and there are few surprises here, but it’s an enjoyable read and I look forward to finding out what will happen in the sequel.
